Privacy Policy
Followup is a job-search tracker. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo.
- Job search data you enter: applications, companies, contacts, notes, documents, and reminders — this is the core content of the app.
- Usage analytics: we use PostHog to understand how the app is used (e.g. which features get opened, how many jobs get added) so we can improve it. This includes anonymized event data and basic device/browser info — not the content of your job entries.
How we use it
To run the app, sync your data across devices, send reminders you've asked for, and understand product usage well enough to improve it. We don't sell your data, and we don't use your job-search content for advertising.
Where it's stored
Your account and job data are stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Analytics events are stored with PostHog.
Your choices
You're in control of your data. From the app's Profile screen you can export a full backup of everything you've entered at any time (Backup & data), and you can permanently delete your account and all associated data yourself using the "Delete account" button in the Danger zone. Deletion is immediate and irreversible — it removes your login and every job, contact, document, reminder, and setting from our database.
