Second follow-up email (still no response)
Your first follow-up didn't get a reply. One more, short and low-pressure, is worth sending, then it's reasonable to move on if you still hear nothing.

Subject: Re: Following up on my [Role] application
Hi [Name], Just wanted to bump this to the top of your inbox in case it got buried. I'm still very interested in the [Role] position and happy to answer any questions. If the role has moved forward with other candidates, no worries at all. I'd appreciate a quick note either way so I can plan accordingly. Thanks, [Your name]
Tips
- Wait longer this time: a week or two after your first follow-up, not a few days.
- Reply to your original thread instead of starting a new email. It keeps context and takes less effort to open.
- The "no worries either way" line matters. It lowers the pressure to reply and often gets you an answer faster.
- After this, let it go. A third unprompted follow-up rarely helps. Put your energy into new applications instead.
Followup tracks how many times you've followed up on each job so you always know whether it's time to try again or move on.
